Gary Raymond Obituary

GENEVA - Gary Dean Raymond Jr., 50, a lifelong resident of Central New York, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2025.

He attended G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, N.Y., prior to relocating to Geneva, N.Y., Gary Jr. was predeceased by his mother, Gloria Raymond Pitcher of Fulton; his father, Gary Raymond Sr. of Fulton; grandparents, Leonard (Dorothy) Duciaume of Fulton; and grandparents Alvin (Adelaide) Raymond of Fulton.

Following his relocation to Geneva, N.Y., Gary lived a quiet life where he enjoyed a community of friends and events. He is survived by his brother, David Raymond (Janelle) and family of Fort Mills, S.C; sister, Karen Raymond (Mourad Benhassen) and family of East Syracuse, N.Y.; step-father, Frederick Pitcher of Fulton; uncle, Robert Raymond (Bette) of Brookville, Ohio; aunts, Patricia Duciaume and Margaret Guyer both of Fulton; close friend Steven Quinlivan of Geneva, N.Y.; and several close friends in Newark, N.Y.

Services will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Main Street, in North Syracuse, N.Y. 13212, on February 17, 2025 from 12 - 1 p.m., for immediate family only; from 1 - 2:30 p.m. for friends and family; and from 2:30 - 3 p.m. for Spiritual Reflection with Michael Santy officiating. Graveside Services will be held in the spring in Jacksonville Rural Cemetery in Phoenix, N.Y. Details to follow come springtime.
