Gary Rissler Obituary

Gary was a retired Mill Operator for Reynolds Metals, a retired forklift operator for UPS, and a proud U.S. Army veteran. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and deep love for his family.
He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gary also had a lifelong appreciation for animals and a passion for the outdoors, where he felt most at peace.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda; his parents, James and Wanda Rissler; and his sister, Nina Ayers.
Gary is survived by his children, Christopher Rissler (Laura) and Andrea Bartley (Darryl); grandchildren, Kendall Rissler (Kody), Jaxon Rissler, Katelyn Bartley (Jacob), and Amber Vibbert (Bryson); and great-grandchildren, Lily Vibbert and Ellie McAllister.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Ratterman Southwest, 4832 Cane Run Road, with burial to follow at Edwardsville (Tunnel Hill) Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, service, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Gary Lynn Rissler, please visit our floral store.
