Heaven is rejoicing as Dr Gary Dean Schultz has arrived. Gary was born July 15th, 1945 in Bellingham Washington to Herbert Phillip and Hazel Mary Schultz. He entered peacefully into rest February 2nd, 2020. He leaves behind mother Hazel, wife Ali Schultz, brother Doug , sister Cheryl , son Jason, daughters Jana,Sharon , Joyce and Tammy , granddaughter's Zoe and Faith, grandson Wesly and Great Granddaughter Ashley, as well as many other family members and an extended family of friends that will miss him dearly. Gary was the energy of our family with a zest for life that kept us all exploring and traveling and enjoying life with him. His love of flying was a very large part of his life. His service in the Civil Air Patrol In Cathedral City was a passion he pursued with dedication and love. His love of Hawaii and all of its beauty was a gift he shared with us all. He was a talented painter giving lessons to share that beautiful gift with others. His work within the healthcare system was another passion that changed and improved lives wherever he was present. His dedication to his family, his unequaled love and respect for all was a template for all to follow and learn from. He was kind, brilliant, funny admired and respected by all who were blessed to cross his path. A memorial service will be held in his honor February 8th, 2020 at Forest Lawn in Cathedral City California. An additional Celebration of Life will be held in Florida with details to be announced at a later time. We will miss his zest for life, his warmth, laughter and passion , but we know we will see him again. He lives in our Hearts forever.

Im getting to miss my dad. I wasnt able to see him as much as I wanted but in the times we spent together were great. On my last trip down to see him He and I were able to do a Bob Ross painting session together. He being a certified instructor, was able to teach me well. Ill treasure that moment and the painting that hangs on my wall forever.
Dad, I love you and cant wait until Jesus comes and takes us all to heaven to be reunited. But until then, rest and be at peace.

Mike and I extend our condolences to his family. We too, grieve his loss. Gary was a great communicator and listener. Mike had many conversations with Gary that were deep and thoughtful. Gary always presented himself in a selfless and gracious manner. He was kind to all. He loved Ali and his children & grandchildren dearly. We are deeply saddened for his passing. We live for the day when we will be reunited together at the feet of a Jesus! We offer our continued prayers to the family and countless friends. He will not be forgotten.
