He was born February 14, 1956 in Keokuk, IA the son of Albert C. and Mary L. Auge Schwab. Gary Graduated from Keokuk High School with the class of 1974.
On November 7, 2004 he was united in marriage in Keokuk to Brenda Curry. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Brandon Hora of Keokuk and two brothers, Thomas Schwab (Sherry) of Waterloo, IL and Kenneth Schwab (Susan) of Wentzville, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Gary was employed by Roquette America until his retirement in 2019.
He was a member of the Elks Club along with various pool and bowling leagues. Gary was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs taking in every game he could. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and enjoyed a good game of washers.
According to Gary's wishes no services will be held.
