Gary. I still tell stories about the things we did when we were in service together and for a short time after as civilians. I still have a few pictures of us in 'Nam and from Bragg and Fayetteville , I met Gary right prior Jump School in Fort Benning. After Jump School we went to Special Forces together. He was in the 3rd Special Forces, I was in the 7th Special Forces. Then we went to the 101st together, and then the 173rd together in 'Nam and finally back to the World and the 82nd together. When we DROS'd out of 'Nam we went home to 555 E. La Deny Drive. We hung out at his Mom's, Gracie's, bar. And partied all over San Bernadino. Then we drove across the country in his '61 Chevy Impala, license plate HSK 881. The trip was legendary. We stayed with my families' friends in Silver Springs, Maryland where we went to the Pentagon to try to get our orders changed from the 82nd back to Special Forces - but we couldn't go back because we weren't 21 yet. Yeah, those days were unbelievably special. I'll never forget him and his family.
