Gary Cofer Singleton, 73, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 25, 2025. Born on September 11, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia, Gary lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the great outdoors.
A proud graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Gary completed his studies there in 1970 before attending Southern Tech. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of hard work and dedication-traits that defined both his personal and professional endeavors.
Gary was a devoted husband to Lynn Blalock Singleton, his beloved wife of 54 years. Together they built a strong and loving family that was always at the center of Gary's heart. He was a cherished father to Tracy Campbell (Mike Daniel), Kimberly Lowe, Jeremy Singleton (Amy), and Justin Singleton. His legacy continues through his grandchildren-Brett Campbell (Candice), Madison Henry (Nic Tally), Ryker Lowe, Kellen Singleton, Kasen Singleton, and Sadie Lowe-and his great-granddaughter, Aria Campbell. He also leaves behind his sister, Rose Hofer (Greg), sister-in-law, Janet Hobbins and brother-in-law, Jimmy Blalock (Becky) and many nieces and nephews who held him dear.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Martha Singleton; his brother, Carlton Singleton; and his in-laws, James V. Blalock and Minnie Ruth Blalock.
A man of deep faith, Gary was a Christ follower whose life reflected humility, honor, and compassion. He was known for his strength and unwavering love for those around him. His laughter filled every room he entered, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
An avid outdoorsman, Gary found joy in nature-especially during deer hunting trips with the men in his family. He had a passion for sports as well; whether playing softball or enjoying a round of golf, he embraced every opportunity to stay active. Some of his most cherished moments were spent at the ocean with family and friends-places where laughter echoed over waves and bonds grew stronger.
Gary's life was one of purpose and presence-a man who worked hard not just for himself but for those he loved most. His legacy is etched into the hearts of generations who will carry forward the values he lived by: faithfulness, integrity, kindness, and joy.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Tom M Wages Funeral Home,
