Gary J Smith, 84, passed August 17, 2025, early am.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George & Glenna Smith, son, Gary Jr., 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Gary is survived by his wife, J. Lorrie Smith, children and grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Gary was an 18 yr US Army Veteran and retired Dept. of Florida Corrections Officer.
He enjoyed life to it's fullest with barrel racing, bull riding, fishing, hunting, car races and camping with his family. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8087, where he served as a 4x past Commander. He enjoyed being a member of the Military order of the Cooties, serving in numerous positions. He also served 6 yrs on the board of trustees at the VFW Retirement home in Ft. McCoy FL.
He will be sorely missed by everyone he touched in life.
