This is a picture from the celebration we had for my dad Robert Spratt when he turned 80. Gary is far left. We grew up in a different time on Zion road. So peaceful and quiet and filled family. The sprata had 5 pieces of property all in a row at the top of the mountain. We had so many family gatherings up at Grandma's house and then at my parents house. Growing up. Gary and Craig always seemed so much older than us while there was only a few years. All the family projects each summer. I remember Gary's welcome home from the war. My sister reminded me that we made his welcome home cake. I was able to attend one of the services where both my dad who served in WW2 and the Korean war and Gary in Vietnam both got medals. Quite inspiring. I spent some time with Gary in neshanic when we celebrated our cousin Diane's life. He was a historian about the family and shared with wasyel and I many stories of all the spratts. He was so kind when I lost Marty. He called and said if I needed anything to just reach out. I will remember his laugh, his kindness and all the wonderful stories. Here's to the memories.
