Gary Lee Stewart, Sr., born on May 24, 1967, peacefully passed away on March 26, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee. His departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Gary was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Andrea Lynn Burkeen Stewart, and his cherished parents, Joseph Alec Stewart Sr. and Karen McMichael Stewart. Their memories remain a comforting presence in the lives of those who continue to honor them.

He is survived by his loving son, Gary Lee Stewart Jr., and his wife, Alisha, whose bond reflects the strength and love Gary so deeply cherished. His daughters—Brittney Slavick Noble and her husband Johnny, Crystal Slavick, and Elizabeth Helms alongside her husband Gary—carry forward his legacy with grace. Gary’s brother, Josheph A. Stewart Jr., and his sisters, Terri Cloinger with her husband Jeff, and Mary Kathryn Stewart, stand firmly by the family, united in their grief and remembrance.

Gary’s heart was especially rich with the joy of family, as seen in his seven treasured grandchildren: Braxton and Bentley Helms, Elexis, Ava, Zaelynn, and Zoey Stewart, and Hayleigh Busick. Each carries a part of his spirit, mirroring the love he so freely gave.

The circle of love surrounding Gary also includes a large extended family of nieces and nephews: Erik Hayes, Jessica Hayes, Steven Ausbaum, Gregory and Drew Horton, Brittane and Stephen Beasley, Christopher Hayes, Emily Hayes, Courtney Cloinger, Caitlin Cloinger, Trevor Nutall, and Korbyn Stewart, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him as a pillar of support and kindness.

Gary Lee Stewart, Sr.’s life was a testament to unwavering devotion and warmth. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the endless love he bestowed in every moment. Though he has left this world, his spirit remains eternally cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace, forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
