Gary Stilson Obituary
Gary Jay Stilson, age 78, Passed away January 18, 2025, in Ivins Utah.
He was born April 3, 1946 in Springville, Utah to George and Alfreda (Barker) Stilson.
He married Dolores Ogden, they later divorced. He married Denise Kay (Coffman) and they were later Sealed in the LDS temple.
He loved the United States and Proudly served in the US Navy. He retired from the Utah State Hospital after working various jobs throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing and game nights. He was a member of the LDS church and Served in various positions including his favorite - genealogy research. He designed and built 4 of his own homes.
The family would like to thank Max Stilson for taking Care of Gary in his remaining days. He was a great comfort to him.
He is survived by his wife Denise of Leeds, UT, his children Scott (Jerri) Stilson, Ivins, UT, Deborah (Charles) Stilson, Sparks, NV, Douglas Stilson, Payson, UT. Step-children- Jason (Jennifer) Lewis, Spanish Fork, UT, Justin Lewis, Grand Island, NE, Blaine (Amber) Holdaway, Mulvane, KS, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grand children, Brothers Don (Gale) Waters, St. George, UT, Mike (Jo) Stilson, St. George, UT, Max Stilson, Hurricane, Utah and sister Mary Ann Cook (Stilson), Riverton, UT.
He was preceded in death by his grand-daughter Alex, his brothers Fred, Van, Jack and Charles (Dee), and other family members.
