I just found my childhood friend Gary after 60 years of being apart. We have been exchanging notes through facebook and we were looking forward to seeing each other after all these years. He was a great buddy when I lived on the Cape and we played Fort Apache in the woods. The bad guys never had a chance. He rode out to Nantucket with me on my dads ship in the summer of 1954 or 55. He was a big gentle soul even as a kid. Though we didn't get to see each other, i will miss him. I still remember his birthday party,61 years ago today.

It's so heartbreaking to lose a loved one to death, especially someone so dear. May the God of comfort bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.
