Gary Richard Terpak

Gary Richard Terpak, "Terp" passed away suddenly on September 11, 2022 in Mount Hope, New York. Gary was born on February 23, 1951 in Suffern, New York. Gary grew up on Jackson Avenue, which is now Terpak Court. He was 71 years old. He was predeceased by his father, Carl Douglas Terpak Sr., his mother, Dorothy A. Terpak and his brother, Carl Douglas Terpak Jr. Gary is survived by his wife, Nancy Terpak (Miller), his son, Gary Terpak Jr. and wife Shannon, Son, Trevor Terpak, Daughter, Casey and husband, his son, Stetson Terpak and wife Lisa, and his daughter, Summer Breeze Callinan and husband Daniel. His sister, Gail Griffin, brother, Albert Terpak, and brother, Richard Terpak and wife Susan. He also leaves behind, thirteen grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary was a teamster of Local 445, who worked for Raia Industries in Haverstraw, NY and Mahwah, NJ during the summer months. During the winter months, he worked for Gurn oil in Grassy Point. Gary worked for the Village of Haverstraw's Department of Public Works. Gary then started his own business, Farm Fresh Landscaping in Rockland County, NY. Gary and his family moved to Orange County, New York, where he rebuilt his business, worked as a bus driver in the Minisink School District, drove a truck for Boyce excavating and was an operator/ driver for Suburban Excavating. All along, Gary was tending to his property, farm animals and spending time with his family and friends. Good, bad, or indifferent, Gary had an affect on everyone around him. He was loved by many and will be truly missed. "It's not goodbye, It's see you later". Visitation will be held on Saturday, September, 17. 2022 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George M. Holt Funeral Home, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY.
