Gary Butch Tesh was born August 13, 1941 and passed away May 26, 2025. He was born to the late Howard Taft Tesh and Besse Ketner Tesh in Winston-Salem, NC.
He was an alumni of Gaston Institute of Technology which was a part of N.C. State. Gary worked for 30 years as an engineering designer. Gary decided he wanted to go in a different direction and studied to become an insurance agent. He opened his own agency and sold Medicare supplement insurance for the next 25 years.
Gary is survived by the love of his life, Kaye Hawkins Tesh, who was his wife for over 62 years; daughters, Sharon Gordon (Jerry) of Pilot Mountain, Jane Fako (Jeff) of Clayton; grandchildren, Erin Edwards (Chris), Katie Fako, Zach Fako, and Sarah Fako; great-grandson, Jason Edwards; sister, Betty Cox of King; in-laws, Johnnie and Dale Pinilis of Clemmons; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Forbis and Dick Guilford Chapel, 5926 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27410. Burial will follow at New Garden Friends Cemetery, 5910 New Garden Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410 with the Rev. Dr. Curt Dean officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Lawndale Baptist Church, 3500 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408.
