Gary F. Trumbach, age 64, passed away suddenly on September 24, 2018 at University Medical Center in New Orleans, due to complications from open heart surgery. Gary was born on October 21,1953 in Belize, British Honduras. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil A. Trumbach and Blanche Avery Trumbach and his brother Bernard J. Trumbach. He was a graduate of Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans, LA. Gary was employed by Bunge North America for 20 years and retired from Local 39 as a stagehand at the New Orleans Convention Center. He will be fondly remembered by his co-workers by the nicknames of Lightening and Superman for his dedication and steadfast work ethic. He is survived by his loving companion, Kathy Wheeler and her son Shayne Guedry ( Kerry) , brother Randolph Trumbach of New York, brother Gregory Trumbach (Sandra), nephew Gregory Trumbach Jr. (Cherie), and nieces Dana T. Gough-Fortenberry (Chad) and Erin Trumbach. He is also survived by many cousins, step-grandchildren, friends, and family. Gary was a kind and loving person who loved his nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren Seth and Sadie Guedry. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his cats. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 from 11AM-1PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Children's Hospital, New Orleans, Louisiana.
