Sorry to hear of Gary´s passing. We had so many fun memories from the UBC days. I learned a lot from Gary and appreciated all he did for the company. Peace & Comfort to you and your family.

Kelsey, Your dad was your number one supporter of your endeavors. He was a great man who always provided kind words of support of the swim team. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your mom during these sad days.

Pam, it's obvious that Gary was a wonderful person with many accomplishments. It warms my heart that you had/have such a great marriage and daughter. God's blessings on you and her. From a friend from long ago. Dewey Shaw

From when I first met you at ElToro, you´ve always been a friend. The few luncheons we shared with Phil were precious times together. Rest well my friend until we meet again.

It was difficult news to hear of Gary's passing, but I have to say that when I thought of 'Loop I couldn't suppress a smile. He always caused that reaction with me.
While we owned competing businesses in the food broker days in Grand Rapids, 'Loop never ever felt like a competitor. He has always been a friend. When I ended-up at Acosta in 2005, one of my great joys was to find him there too. Through the years of working together there, we were able to build our friendship even more.
I've always had an interest in military aviation, and clearly remember the painting Gary had on his office wall of his Vietnam "ride"...an F4 Phantom. He never talked a lot about it, but he was justifiably proud of his service in the Marines. Never great at dressing myself, he would sometimes bark at me, "Stehouwer, get your gig line in order!" when my shirt buttons didn't line-up with my pants zipper fly. Marine training.
Yup...that was 'Loop.
His professional integrity was only outdone by his brutal candor and humor. I love you 'Loop.
