He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kyle Kent, Devin Kent, Patience Stevens, Bryce Stevens, Collen Dillard, and great-grandson Wesley Dillard. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Eileen Sanders, Douglas VanWinkle, and Delila VanWinkle.
Preceding Gary L. VanWinkle in death are his father, Colonel VanWinkle, his mother, Lydia Billingsley, his stepfather, Robert Carpio, his nephew, Russell Williams III, and his sister, Yvonne VanWinkle.
