Gary Verhoff Obituary
OTTAWA - Gary "Pup" Verhoff, 72, of Ottawa, passed away at 12:44 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus surrounded by his family. He was born March 30, 1953, in Lima to the late Norbert and Juanita (Fout) Verhoff.
Gary is survived by four brothers: Kenny (Susan) Verhoff of Ottawa, Keith Verhoff of Mt. Cory, Randy Verhoff of Continental and Brad (Mary) Verhoff of Celina; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Verhoff; and a sister-in-law, Linda Verhoff.
Gary worked as the custodian for Miller City-New Cleveland School. He was a member of Glandorf Rod and Gun, New Bavaria VFW, Ottawa Eagles and Miller City Sportsman Club. Gary always had a smile and love for life. He loved watching sports, hanging out with his NASCAR buddies, and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at The Buckeye Club, Miller City. Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
