Services for Gary Lester Vess, Sr., 71, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. David Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held the day of service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., at the First United Pentecostal Church in Livingston, Texas.
Gary was born February 26, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee, and passed away May 31, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Vess and Juanita (Jackson) Vess; sister, Marsh; and brothers, Michael and Curtis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Vess; son, Gary Vess and wife Michelle; daughter, Kim Currie and husband Randall; son, Gerald Vess and wife Kim; grandchildren, Josh, Lauren Brooke and Walker, Landon, Lauren Ashley and Manny, Jacob and Samantha, Madelyn and Branden, and Roman; great grandchildren, Jagger, Clay, Drake, Ryan, Eli, and Caleb; brother, Ronnie Vess and wife Lanell; sister, Glenda Turner;; and uncle Homer Vess; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Josh, Jacob, Landon, Manny, Walker, Branden, Matt and Billy.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jagger, Clay and Roman.
