Gary Webster, age 78, of Goodlettsville, TN passed away on April 11th, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Gary was born on April 12, 1946, to the late Eula and William Webster. He is also preceded in death by his brothers John and David Webster, and his sister June Vaughn. He leaves behind his loving wife Betty Webster, the two would have been married 55 years in June. He is also survived by his children Brian Webster (Amanda) and Benjamin Webster (Merrill). Gary is survived by his grandchildren: Braelyn, Josh, Elissa, Brennan, Carson, Cruz, Elijah, Lydia, Elsey, Hazel, Genevieve, and Adelaide, and 5 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Webster, sister-in-law Wanda Webster, and his nieces: Connie Parrott, Carolyn Monroe, Jenny Keith, Judy Tisdale, Janie Mary, Gina Talbott, Pam Knetch, Ina Webster, and Barbara Neubert. Although he is gone, his memory will forever reside within them all.

Gary was a child of God. He was a long-time member of the Goodlettsville First Baptist Church. He was a very involved member, where he would serve as a deacon, Sunday School director and teacher, and choir member.

For over 35 years, Gary was the heart and soul behind Taylor Webster Financial, where his professional prowess shone brightly, yet he managed to keep a delicate balance between his career and family life. His steadfast dedication to his work was only matched by his unyielding love for his family, which stood as his proudest achievement. Beyond his many capabilities and accomplishments, it was his role as a husband and father that defined him most profoundly.

Those fortunate enough to know Gary will remember him as an oak tree—strong, steady, and always unwavering and present in times of need. His rich presence impacted the lives of many, gently guiding those around him with quiet strength. Though a man of few words, when he spoke, his words carried profound weight, often delivered with a dry, sarcastic humor that could brighten even the dimmest of days.

Gary’s love for sports fueled his spirit outside of work. He reveled in the thrill of UT Football and took to the greens with enthusiasm, enjoying golf as both a competitive hobby and a leisurely pursuit. He was not only a fan on the sidelines; he played for his church softball team and demonstrated his athleticism as a basketball player during his high school days. He would even go on to coach his children's teams as well. These passions brought him joy and an opportunity to forge lasting friendships.

A graduate of Nashville Law School, his education laid the foundation for a successful career that coupled knowledge and integrity. Gary's legacy will forever echo through the memories he created with his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.

Family, friends, and all who were touched by Gary are invited to celebrate his life at First Baptist Church, located at 613 S Main St, Goodlettsville, TN. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a Funeral Service following at 12:00 PM on April 17, 2025. He will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.

The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Mr. Gary Webster to Alive Hospice – Nashville.
