Gary Edward Williams

Mr. Gary Edward Williams, 83, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born June 21, 1942, in Lancaster, a son of the late Ross and Dorothy Williams. Gary was an outdoorsman and loved to fish, hunt, and be in nature. He was a photographer, Mason, Shriner, Police Officer, served in the US Navy and was a Volunteer Fireman. Gary worked as a Plant Engineer at Springs for 38 years and was actively involved in the community and loved helping others.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Williams will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Yvette Williams of Lancaster; two daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Smith of Eloree and Lynette Hinson of Lancaster; two brothers, Danny and Ricky Williams, both of Kershaw; eight grandchildren, Daniel Carlisle Felkel, Blair Edward Felkel, Wyatt Gabriel Smith, Dylan Blease Smith, Tabitha Nicole Hinson, Raven Heather Hinson, Summer Faith Hinson and Skyler Blaise Hinson; and 14 great grandchildren, Trace, Robert, Isaac, Leon, Grayson, Phenton, Emmett, Camreigh, Michael, Delilah, Kalli, S.J., Paisley and Tessa. He was preceded in death by two sons in law, Scott Hinson and Don Smith: two brothers, Roger Dale Williams and Irbie Williams and a grandchild, Chloe Grace Smith.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church.
