Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Clintonville ChapelGary L. Wyner, 82, of Columbus, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025 with family by his side.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 7, 1943 to the late William and Verna (Motznik) Wyner.
He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Preceded in death by his sister Margery (Wyner) Charvat. He leaves behind his devoted sons, Bill (Penny) Wyner, Jeff (Molly) Wyner, and daughter, Susan (Matt) Mitchell, and grandchildren, Austin, Jenna, and Jackson. He also leaves behind a nephew and two nieces: Robert Charvat, Lisa Charvat and Michele (Marthe) Perez.
He graduated from Parma Senior High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a member of MENSA, a lover of backgammon, chess, poker, cars, real estate, and finances. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era as an airplane mechanic spending much of his time in France. He was an avid real estate investor and loved to find a good investment of any kind.
The family will receive friends at a memorial service on December 20th, 2025 at Dublin Presbyterian Church, 5775 Dublinshire Dr, Dublin, OH 43017 at 12:00 noon. Service to be officiated by Rev. Nikki Hogarth. All are invited to a celebration of life luncheon reception immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
