Gary M. Yarde, born on January 12, 1963, in Garrett, Indiana to Harry Lee and Peggy Sue (Clabaugh) Yarde, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the age of 61. He lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and had a fulfilling career as a lab technician in the optical industry, proudly working for Eyeglass World.
Gary was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and was involved with the Carpenter's Sons of the church. He enjoyed yardwork and helping neighbors. He was the Minnesota Vikings' biggest fan and loved listening to music. He cherished spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Gary will be remembered for his kind heart and strong dedication to his family, including his beloved mother, Peggy Yarde, brother Bryan (Leslye) Yarde, sister Amy (Tom) Mason, and sister-in-law Anne Yarde. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Josh (Lexi) Yarde, Aby (Evan Brown) Yarde, Annabelle Mason, Elizabeth, Mary, John, and Dan Yarde
Gary was preceded in death by his father Lee Yarde and his brother, Todd Yarde.
To honor Gary's life, a Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery at 12:15 p.m. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the public visitation at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.. where a rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m.
Gary will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, located at 600 S. Hamsher St., Garrett, Indiana. All who knew and loved Gary are encouraged to join together in celebrating his life and memory. He will be dearly missed but cherished in the hearts of many.
