Grandpa, sometimes I can´t grasp the fact you left, and when my brain wonders upon the subject of wondering when I will see you, a realization comes in and then an emptiness, this feeling is then calmed by the loving memories of you (especially the soupy mac & cheese) and how I know you loved me and how you still do. I´ve always been a skeptic of religion, but nevertheless, I know you are in a better place, whether it be in heaven or enjoying a cold beer on the beach. You left a funny and great legacy and all I hope is that you are enjoying yourself.

Here we are Dad another year coming to its end. As most people do this is a time to look back and reflect on life. I am so thankful to have had you for my father. Well Dad it's been one month since you left us. It hasn't gotten any easier to accept but knowing you are in a better place makes it bearable. Today my brother it is a month that you went away to heaven. I don't know how to express my feelings, some are anger , some are grief, and some are feeling peaceful because I know you are in the best place you can be. I miss asking to you on the phone, even if it was for a few seconds, because you where not a phone person, we exchanged our words to each other, and the best part was when we were going to hang up, you would say "I LOVE YOU BIG SIS" that was all I needed to hear from you, because we always loved unconditionally, we never fought, of held grudges, because we were thought to liove each other. You were special to us always, we could never begrudge you anything you wanted, especially we knew how mommy loved you, we loved you just as much! So for now I will say "SO LONG, not GOOD BYE because when God wants us to leave this earth we will see each other again, and be a whole family again! You are always in my heart forever and. Ever Bro! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!

My brother Jr. When we were young took my skates and made a scooter,at first I was pissed but could never hold a grudge towards him,fast forward to when we were able to drive,our Dad bought a car,we had to share,I used it during the week to go to work.One the weekends on Saturday's I wanted to go shopping,so I would get up,and dressed and look for the keys.I would ask our Mom,where are the keys? Because he would use it on Friday night to go to Brooklyn,Mom would be so nervous cause he would hide them,so I couldn't take the car.So I would tell her....go in his room and find them,poor Mom would go in and just scan the room,God for bid she would wake the King up to ask for the keys.Well there were times I would have the keys and there were times I went nowhere cause he wouldn't give me the keys to Our car.Then in 1968 I bought a brand new Camaro,and of course I would give him the keys to use it on the weekends,yes I know but you must understand I could never say no to him.So one Saturday morning,I went to pick up our Sister Jo and Baby Charles to bring them back to our house to spend the day.My bro had taken my car the night before and wasn't back from Brooklyn he stayed over a friends house,probably Billy and Theresa's house his other brother...so as I am at Jo' apartment to pick her up,Mom calls and is talking to Jo,and she's looking at me,so I know something is up,well she handed me the phone and whatta ya know,Mom is telling me your brother had an accident with your car,first thing I ask...is he ok? she says yes,he's ok,but your car is not.Well what can I say,I wasn't even angry,I just couldn't get mad at my bro,so when we get home the car is there and I go look at it and the door is smashed in,and a couple of dents here and there.I walk in the house and he's sitting at the kitchen table,and he says ...don't worry I will pay to fix it.So how can I have any anger towards my bro,he did fix it,and had a new door put on.In the photo gallery I submitted a card he had sent me for Christmas,his feelings and words for me..his Lil Sis..that's what he always called me,I felt so special when he would say those words to me,no one else owned them but me.There was nothing he could do wrong in my eyes,not that he was perfect,no way,but he was My Brother,and the Love our Mom had for him,when she passed it was like Jo and I just took that Love and continued on with it just for him...I look forward to seeing him one day,when The Lord wants and because my Mom and Bro and Family are there already,I am truly looking forward to seeing them all....I will always feel Blessed to have had him for My brother and Blessed that he gave us 2 Beautiful girls,to Love and now they give us their children whom he Loved more than life it self....Now he watches over his Girls and Their Families and guides them,that's what I pray for him to do.He was a Shining Star to us..he was the King of Our Home Growing Up and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way....Love You My Bro Always and Forever...Your Lil Sis...XoXo!

Dad, you left us 4 weeks ago yesterday and I miss you just as much today as the day you left! I know you are in a better place and are watching over us all but the emptiness is still so raw. I smile and laugh as I think/talk about many memories and I am so glad that we spent so much time with you, helping you enjoy the little things in life that made you happy! I wish we had more time to take you fishing or to the beach but, we all know how that went! I hope you are up there not only watching and protecting us all but also finally enjoying yourself! Sitting with your ass parked in a chair with a fishing pole in one hand and a drink in the other! I hope all of our loved ones that made it there before you, were there to welcome you! Not a moment goes by that I don't think about you, feel you, or am reminded of you! Until we meet again, I will love you and miss you with all of my heart!

To my Father-n-law,

I cherish all the good times and reminisce on all of the great memories we all shared with you. I´ll miss the laughter, the joking and ribbing, the various concoctions of food mixtures and then to the items you rigged together to help you out with something you were trying to accomplish. My fondest memories of you are in Elmont, from the bread on the grill with lemon juice or to when we would order out food and we would need to go pick it up, and you would always chime in and say "I´ll take a ride with you buddy" I chuckle to this very moment because I always knew right away what that was for, and how you acted once we made that first stop before we got to the food, you were like a kid in a candy store once you got back in the car with that .5th of BB brandy in a paper bag. You were a fair and unbiased man that would give your opinion in a situation or advice on something going on in our lives. You never pushed your ideas but offered your perspective and I am glad for it because believe it or not I would listen to what you had to say, I might have not done it the way you said but I listened. I´ll remember the simple house projects that should have only taken a few minutes to complete but instead lasted hours. I´ll also remember the time in Seaford when you came out of the bathroom, on Ashleys Christening day with shaved eyebrows and flexing the white spots to show me that you shaved them, and I telling you that they will all be mad at you and you saying " So Whatttttt".
You were my Father-n-law, but I also considered you a great friend.

I grew up and went to school with Bornio, spent most of my life with him. Had many a drink with him. He was by far my closest friend. My memories are mostly of him. I loved him as much or more than anyone else. I will miss him until the day I go, and hopefully be with him once again.

We grew up in BROOKLYN, he was my younger brother, who made us a little crazy when he took our skates to make his go cart! Of course, he didn't get hit! He was THE BOY! We were always close to him, even thought he traveled to the old neighborhood to be with his friends! As we grew older we shared many happy Sundays at our moms house eating together and having a few good laughs!there was one memory I can't forget, we were having fruit and cake and coffee after dinner, my brother ate a few walnuts, then stuck a grape inside and put back together and layer it back in the dish. My boys who were about four and six at the time came to the table , my brother gave the one each, they opened them and saw the grapes?, they were shocked! My brother said "didn't you know we have GRAPE NUTS",! They were laughing so much we were all laughing! That was one of many things he did to make us laugh! Missing you Brother and someday we will meet again! You were very much loved by all of us!

To the Aluzzo Family, I never got a chance to meet Gaspare, but I wish I had... I know his daughter Danielle, She's such an amazing friend to me & I know he had to be just as amazing! I'm so very sorry for your loss! I can't imagine the pain you're feeling right now without him! I'm here if any of you need me! May he R.I.P.

Jr was very special to the Defino family he was a great person and family friend. We loved him like a brother and son we had a lot of good times growing up with him and his family. We will all miss him so much. But we have great memories of him
