Gayla Frances Bates age 59, of Celeste Texas, beloved mother, sister and nana passed away on October 5,2024.
She has joined the love of her life Ronnie Jones, her parents Jewel and Joe Defratus, brother Joey Defratus as well as other loved ones.
Gayla was born in Garland Texas where she grew up and started her family eventually building her dream home in Celeste Texas. She enjoyed fishing, two stepping with her love, 4 wheeling, traveling and enjoying her grandchildren.
Gayla is survived by daughters Kayla Bates and boyfriend Kerry Harrison, Angie and husband Kenneth Hudgins, Sheila Jones and fiance Joshua Edwards. Brother Danny Scott and sisters Cathy Craig, Jalinea Pirtle, Cherly Defratus and Melinda Montgomery. Brothers-In-Law Joe Jones and Cindy, Jamie and Tammy Jones. Grandchildren Kenzi and husband Lathan Wiley, Kendell Michels and John-Felipe Escobedo, Payton Roberts, Zoe Hudgins and Great granddaughters Kaisley and Tatum Wiley. And so many loving extended family members.
