Gayle Ann Gittens, 84, joined her husband in eternal peace, January 3, 2026. Gayle was born November 18, 1941, in Green Bay WI to Justin and Irene (Van Ess) Rolf.
Gayle graduated from Green Bay West High in 1960. She met the love of her life Pat, at The Prom in De Pere, one night out with the girls. They married at St. Agnes Church on May 19, 1962. Gayle was a stay-at-home mom to Steve, Kelly and Crisco (her pooch). After the kids were in school, she worked part-time at Weight Watchers until retiring at 57.
Gayle and Pat enjoyed creating a beautifully landscaped backyard and entertaining. Her favorite time of year was spring, so they could go shopping for the hanging baskets and flowers. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, bike riding, travel, her bridge club and playing cribbage each Sunday with Pat. Gayle and Pat enjoyed bus tours with their friends, and she was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. She was a member of Moose Lodge and Lady of our Lourdes Parish. Upon retirement, Pat and Gayle purchased a second home in The Villages, Florida where they would spend their time entertaining family and friends and cruising on their Packer golf cart. Most of all, she just enjoyed doing anything as long as she was with Pat.
Gayle is survived by her daughter Kelly Gittens, son Steve Gittens, granddaughter Kati Jameson (Nick), and two great-grandchildren Quinn and Owen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grand-daughter, Ashley.
Family and friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1305 Lourdes Ave., De Pere on Thursday January 08, 2026, from 12:00PM until the mass of Christian Burial at 2:00PM, with Fr. James Baraniak O.Praem. officiating.
A special thank you for care and support of the exceptional Bellin 8th floor staff and Unity Hospice.
