Gayle Marie Hearrell

Memorial services for Gayle Marie Hearrell, 60, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Ty Phillips officiating.
Ms. Hearrell was born on March 11, 1965, in Rock Falls, Illinois, to Phillip Lee Smith and Ellen Marie (Wilkinson) Smith, and died Friday, October 31, 2025, at her residence.
Ms. Hearrell enjoyed cooking and loved going fishing when she could. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Bobby Don Hawkins of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Vanessa Hearrell of Ogden, UT; daughter, Amber Darab of Lufkin; granddaughter, Kyleigh Hawkins; granddaughter, Tenley Hearrell; grandson, Cody Darab; granddaughter, Aubrie Hawkins; grandson, William Darab; granddaughter, Waverleigh Darab; and granddaughter, Tessa Lou Hearrell; father, Phillip Smith of Bryan-College Station; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Tara Smith of Bedias, TX; sister, Rhonda Smith of Mansfield, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Brandon and Julie Smith of Bryan-College Station; along with numerous nieces.
She was preceded in death by her mother; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Ardith Wilkinson; and paternal grandparents, Thomas Henry and Ernie "A" Maria Smith.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home, prior to the service.
