Gayle Metivier, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Chandler, Arizona. Born in Joliet, Illinois on November 24, 1955, Gayle lived a life marked by warmth, compassion, and quiet strength.
She was married to Lawrence Metivier (passed May of 2004) of Manchester, Connecticut, with whom she shared a life full of love and partnership. Together, they built a home in Chandler, Arizona, where Gayle’s gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched all who knew her.
Gayle is survived by her two sons, Marcus Metivier and his wife Kristin, and Nicholas Metivier and his wife Mona all of whom live in South Dakota. As well as her brother, Thomas Alberti Jr, and his wife Vanessa, from Oregon, and sister, Randi Kerin (late husband Bob) from Connecticut. She was a proud grandmother to six cherished grandchildren, and five great-grand children.
Though there will be no public service or funeral, Gayle’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local pet shelter in her honor—a tribute to her lifelong love for animals and her generous soul.
Gayle will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
