Geary Micheal Campbell was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Hobart, Okla., to Thurman Alvin and Lila Lee (Skaggs) Campbell. He died February 9, 2025, in Carnegie. Geary graduated from Carnegie High School in 1972, and began his career farming and ranching. Geary bought his first farm, across from the Dirty Shame station, right after graduating from high school. He was married to Mary Ann (Summers) Campbell for 40 years, and they lived on that farm at Dirty Shame for several years. They had one daughter, Julie Ann (Campbell) Littleton.
Geary spent many years racing mini sprints and sprint cars, winning several track championships in his mini-sprints at Dutton's Speedway and at Faxon City Speedway. He raced his sprint car at State Fairgrounds Speedway in Okla. City, and competed on the ASCS circuit several years, winning several features. He was co-owner of Campbell Cattle Co., Summers Propane Co., Apache Propane Co., Younkin Propane Co. and Carnegie Concrete Co. In his later years he enjoyed going to the Farmers Coop and catching up on current events every morning.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Ann Littleton, son-in-law, Jake Littleton, his grandchildren, Cilix and Scarlette, his mother, Lila Campbell, his brother Lynn Campbell, sister-in-law Diann Campbell, and nieces Carey, Lori, and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Thurman Campbell.
