Rest in Peace Gene. As a child of the '60's I enjoyed his art work on Daredevil and Iron Man to mention just two examples of his work. He will be missed.

I got to meet Mr. Colan at Wizard Chicago a few years ago. He didn't talk much, his wife did. But it was a thrill and I commission a Daredevil face for $60. I came a few months later, beautiful, shaded, about 10 inches high. What a talent! I have a letter in Cap #122 in 1970 where I say so. He cant be replaced. What a style! RIP sir!

Please accept my sympathy for your loss. May all be comforted by the wonderful promise: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

It was one of my greatest pleasures meeting Gene and his lovely wife Adrian at Comic Con. The original Daredevil and IronMan drawings from him are two of my most prized possessions. Gene and I spoke numerous times and the phone and it was a thrill to get to know a true legend. Rest in peace and G-D bless.

Mr. Colan,
Being from the time of Marvel's early silver age, I enjoyed endless hours of entertainment due to your immense skills. I even managed to meet you and your lovely wife at a con up in Dallas in the mid 90's.
They truly just don't make 'em like you anymore.
I'll be sure to pull some of your work out this very night. Harmlessly re-live a little childhood....
Thank you for the memories.
