Gene Elisha Daisey Sr. of Wapwallopen died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Salisbury, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Law and Mary Almira Vickers Daisey and graduated from Lord Baltimore High School. Gene was a horse trainer for Standardbred Harness Racing, was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry and Alfred Daisey.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Alice Faye Wingate Daisey; sons, Gene E. (Charlia) Daisey Jr., Wapwallopen; and Scott Daisey, Delray Beach, Fla.; adored grandchildren, who PopPop affectionately named "Big Goose" and "Little Goose," Gene Daisey III and Charlene Daisey; and nieces and nephews.
There will be no public services.
