Gene Howard Masiello, Jr.

Gene H. Masiello Jr., 62, of Brook Park, passed away on November 25th 2025, in his home.

Born on August 26, 1963, in Saint Paul, Minnesota raised on the West End, Gene was the son of Gene Sr. and Estelle Masiello. He built his life on hard work, dedication, and a deep commitment to family. For many years, Gene worked in drywall and plastering, a trade in which he took great pride and poured countless hours of craftsmanship.

Gene is survived by his children Angela Ekdahl (Jeff), Samantha Strain, Alicia Love (Cedrick), Miguel Masiello (Brittney), Sophia Strain, and Chad Aranda; Stacy Masiello, who, alongside Gene, helped raise their six children; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply; and his three sisters and one brother.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Masiello and his parents, Gene and Estelle Masiello.

Gene will be remembered for his strong family values and his feisty sense of humor—traits that defined him and left lasting impressions on all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and the many memories they will forever cherish.

Fr. Thomas Galarneault will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Gene: 11 AM; Friday (12/12) at Immaculate Conception Church of Pine City with a time of visitation one hour prior to the Mass and a luncheon to follow in the church lower level.
