Gene Lavere Olson

Our greatest sympathy on your loss. Uncle Gene's presence at the many Olson gatherings will be long remembered. A favorite memory was attending a softball game with Grandpa Rudy who enjoyed cheering Gene on and how impressive he was! A humble man with a big heart, RIP.

I was "fortunate" to be able to face Gene in games. He was tough to hit to say the lease. Rest in peace Gene.

Gene was absolutely one of the greatest softball pitchers in Iowa. I umpired many of his games in a softball heyday. Games were 1-0, 2-1 in extra innings. It was the time of great pitchers and Gene. Many honors to leave his family and friends. Goodbye great one.
