Dear Carol and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Gene's passing as we went way back to the baseball fields from Little League on up, the golf courses, becoming a lifelong friend who had a great sense of humor, a huge heart and amazing patience raising his loving family with Carol. I will miss his spirit & Chesire-Cat grin during our lifetime of interaction as he was that Teammate-athlete that you knew would have fun, give his best competing and for sure get you out of the FoxHole if ever needed...
You all have so much to be proud of as Gene was such a wonderful and strong man....I know how much he loved all of you...
My heart and Prayers go out to all of you, to find strength during the sad and painful days ahead with your loss of "Geno", as it was a priviledge to have his friendship
RIP pal....

Had a lot of laughs working with Gene at S&A, and playing golf in the Smokey Stover.
Gene was one of the many unsung heroes that stepped up to make the Richmond Fire Department a great organization.
