Genelle Hyder Obituary
Genelle “Jan” Hyder, age 92, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Sparta, Tennessee.
She was born September 24, 1932 in Jackson Co., Tennessee to the late Maloy C. and Ina Madelyne Spurlock.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Hyder, brother, Billy Huston Spurlock.
She is survived by her brother, Roy Glen Spurlock; niece, Julie Spurlock Hawkins; nephew, Billy Spurlock Jr., Larry Spurlock; also, she is survived by a host of cousins.
Arrangements:
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Sparta First United Methodist Church in Sparta, TN from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.
The service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Sparta First United Methodist Church in Sparta, TN and officiating will be Rev. Hong. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery.
