Mrs. Genester Pittmon, age 87, entered rest Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a Bulloch County native and the daughter of the late Lee Smith and the late Mabell Brack.
Mrs. Pittmon received her formal education in the Bulloch County School System and was a graduate of the William James High School Class of 1957. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant, having retired from the Bulloch Memorial Hospital after twenty-six years of service. She continued work as a private duty CNA.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, William "Dewy" Brack, George Brack, Geneva Hall, Willie Beatice Brack and Emmie Lee Boyd; her husband, Deacon Charlie "C.R' Pittmon, and a son, Kenny Hendley.
Those left to cherish her memories are, her loving children, Michael Hendley, Riverdale, GA, and Tina Hendley, Statesboro, GA; a granddaughter, Amia Grace Rogers, Baxley, GA, a god daughter, Genester Milton, Guyton, GA, special nieces, Dorothy Williams, Savannah, GA and Martha Miller, Statesboro, GA; a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.
A Celebration Life Memorial Service celebration will be held at 12 noon, Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc., with the Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., officiating. Inurnmemt will be at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
