Geneva Johnson's life will not be defined by educational or professional accomplishments. Her life will be defined by the kind of person she was. Geneva was a loving daughter to Alfred and Patti Brito. A dear sister to Jeanette. A devoted life partner to Eugene, her husband. She was the loving voice of encouragement and support to her children, Phyllis and Barry.Geneva had several special relationships, some with cousins - Hortense, Marion, Marie, Myrtle, and Melquida; and friends, Dora, Ruth, and Marge.As members of her family made their transition, others filled the void. Her In-laws, Charles, Magdalena, Wilbert, Grace and Lorraine became her new family.She was "Auntie" or "Aunt Geneva" to Charles Jr., Pamela, Cynthia, Dorian, Danielle, Brandon, and many others. To some, like Millicent, Regina, Donna, Barbara, Patrick, and a few more, she was "Cousin Geneva". To long time neighbors and friends, The Thomases, she was affectionately called, "Johnson".To many others she was "Mrs. Johnson" the one who greeted you with a welcoming smile, offered you a listening ear, helped you with a project or problem -- one who gave her all.Mom was a spirit of love and generosity.
