Geneva Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Desert Valley Mortuary - Somerton on Feb. 19, 2026.
Geneva Ann Miller, age 70, of Somerton, AZ passed away on February 14, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1955, in Fort Yuma, CA.

Geneva graduated from Sherman Indian High School and Haskell Indian Nations University. She worked at Yuma Proving Ground in the weapons testing department, Cocopah Casino and the Cocopah Police Department for over 40 years where she retired as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police.

In retirement, Geneva enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed going to bingo, creating traditional beaded capes, and being a part of the Southwest Kwapa Bird Singers and Dance group. She also found joy in watching K-dramas and was a devoted fan of the musical group BTS.

Geneva will be lovingly remembered for her warm humor, her deep love of Christmas, her playful spirit at Halloween, her homemade tortillas and baked treats, and above all, her radiant smile. Her presence brought comfort, joy and laughter to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Kelly; her parents, Edith and Frank Miller; her grandparents, Joe and Ora San Diego; her brothers, Richard San Diego, Darryl Miller Sr., and Philbert Miller Sr.; and her sister, Denise Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Kelly; her sons, Bryce (Jessica) Kelly and Joanes (Lisa) Bobtailbear; her granddaughters, Kady Bobtailbear and Miracle Kelly; Sister, Shirley Miller; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Kelly, Mars Kelly, Joseph Jenkins, Jorey Burns, Elijah San Diego, Kai San Diego, Austin Rodriguez, Sage Jim, Joseph Jim and Dale Jim Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers are Joanes Bobtailbear, Adrian San Diego, Jason San Diego, and Philbert Miller Jr.

Traditional rites will be held at the West Cocopah Reservation Cryhouse beginning at 5:00 PM on February 21, 2026, with cremation on February 22, 2026, at 5:00 AM.
