KULPMONT - Genevieve A. Dallatore, 93, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at Mount Carmel Senior Living Community.
She was born in Mount Carmel, April 1, 1929, a daughter of the late David and Marguerite (Dunleavy) Dallatore. Genevieve was a lifelong resident of Kulpmont.
She was a graduate of Kulpmont High School, Class of 1948.
She was employed at Shroyer's Dress Factory and was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. She also worked as a library aid for the Mount Carmel Area School District.
Genevieve was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, the Green Thumb program at the Mount Carmel Area School District and she coached the Holy Angels girls' basketball team.
She loved playing bingo, bowling and spending time at the Kulpmont Senior Action Center.
Genevieve is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Menko, of Mount Carmel; three nieces, Susan Orgovan, Marian Deroba (Joe) and Rosemarie Jenkins (Ken); two nephews, Mike Menko (Jeanne) and Dave Menko (Francine); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Dallatore, Robert Dallatore and Edward Dallatore; and two sisters, Johanna Dallatore (Genevieve's twin) and Helene Sullivan.
DALLATORE - Genevieve A. Dallatore, 93, of Kulpmont. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, (Beaverdale) Mount Carmel Township. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass Monday, Oct. 10 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott St., Kulpmont 17834. Arrangements are in care of C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont.
