I am James Michael Hawkins. I lived with the Hawkins family for about two years in Falls Church, Va. I knew Geney as a friend and almost a sister. I just read her obituary and feel for her family.

Such a lovely Christian lady. What a blessing she was to so many in so many ways. May your many wonderful memories of her help you through this very difficult time of loss.

What wonderful memories we share of our celebrations, our children, and our grandchildren. May God's comfort come to you through all of these.

Prayers for the Stanteen family for comfort, strength, but also for them to continue her legacy for touching lives. As members of First Baptist she befriended us immediately and shared many moments of faithful fellowship. Our kids kind of grew up together and emulated Geney and Wilbron in all of the activities they were involved in. Agape Stanteen family and rejoice in the fact that one day we'll all be together in our Lord's loving arms.
