Genieve May LeCoe

Genieva May LeCoe, 87, of Veneta and Junction City, Oregon, passed away on February 23, 2026, at Junction City Retirement Home.

Genieva was born on November 29, 1938, in Corvallis, Oregon. She lived a life centered around faith, family, and love. A devoted member of the Lutheran church, she faithfully attended Christ Lutheran Church in Veneta, Oregon.

Genieva was an amazing and very loved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and adored her chihuahuas. Growing up with her father's circus and all the animals, she developed a special love for elephants and became an avid collector of them. She enjoyed reading and attending church. She was a bright light in the world and will be greatly missed and very fondly remembered.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Sifford of Eugene, Oregon, and Tresa Schultz of Reedsport, Oregon; her sons, Joseph LeCoe of Springfield, Oregon, and Brad LeCoe of Colvert, Washington; and her brother, Sonny Montgomery of Salem, Oregon. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on March 21, at Christ Lutheran Church, 25157 Luther Lane, Veneta, Oregon.
