Gennadii Danilov Obituary

Gennadii Danilov, 71, of East Hartford, CT passed away from stroke complications on April 12, 2020 at Hartford Hospital.

Gennadii was born in Russia on July 19, 1948. He was a loving husband to Tatiana Danilova. They had 49 wonderful years of marriage.

Gennadii had a great passion for aviation. He became a pilot at an early age, and by his late 20’s, he was teaching students how to fly, including his own son later. His high moral standards and great dedication to his job made Gennadii a leader and earned him the title of Commander of the Flying Wing.

Through his hard work, integrity and unbending principles, Gennadii earned people’s respect and made long-lasting friendships. He was happiest in the air, and with his family.

In May of 2019, Gennadii and Tatiana migrated to the United States to open a new chapter in their retirement, and to be reunited with their son Vladimir and his wife Vanessa. On October 4th 2019, they celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in the Adirondacks, on top of the Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, NY.

Gennadii’s legacy and memories will live on through his daughter Irina and son Vladimir as well as grandchildren Ksenia and Natasha.
Many thanks to Hartford Hospital’s ER team, stroke and ICU doctors and nurses, as well as Windsor Health and Rehab owner Lara Alatise and her caring nursing staff for making Gennadii’s last days as comfortable as possible.

Funeral and memorial services are private. Donations in Gennadii’s honor can be made here: https://americanstroke.org/donate/
