Geoffrey Murvin Obituary

Geoffrey Weber Murvin, Age 53, who lived in the Orlando, FL area, passed away suddenly on Sunday April 8th, 2018 from a hemorrhagic stroke. He had a long career as a financial advisor with several firms. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying University of Kentucky basketball, and Pittsburgh Steelers football. He was also a former President of the University of Kentucky fan club in the Orlando, FL area.

He graduated from the University of Kentucky and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 1988. He also obtained his MBA from Robert Morris University in 1993.

Geoffrey is survived by his parents, Roger and Mary Murvin (The Villages, FL); his sister, Christin Murvin (Fruitland Park, FL); girlfriend, Teri Bergin, (Baldwin Park, FL); and, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins from primarily Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida. He was a life-long friend to many people from childhood, college, and work. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 17th at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida with Visitation at 1:00 pm, Celebration of Life at 2:00pm and Burial to follow.

Wow, this comes as such a shock! My condolences to Teri and the Murvin family. I still remember the day I met Geoff, his family had just moved into our neighborhood from Kentucky and we went and rang their doorbell to meet the new kid. He talked a little funny, but turned out to be great guy. We had so many fun times in middle school and high school. I had always hoped to get to Orlando and meet up with him again, but sadly that won't happen. RIP Murv!
