Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roy W. Barber Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
The family of George Edward Baker Jr., 49, sadly announces his passing on Monday morning, December 1, 2025. Georgie was a life member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. Georgie was also a member of the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department, the Urbana Volunteer Fire Department and a past member of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department. He spent his career driving dump trucks and tractor trailers for which he was very proud of the work he did as a heavy driver. He was also proud to carry on his fathers dream of driving big trucks. Georgie was preceded in death by his father, George Baker Sr. and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Patricia Baker, brother Tommy Baker (Tesa), sister Justina Baker, nieces Cheyenne and Kinsley. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Georgie, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The event will be held at the Laytonsville District Volunteer Fire Department @ 21400 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, Maryland 20882.
