Dr. George Jessup Beaujon, 70 yrs old, passed away January 28, 2025. Beloved husband of Patricia Beaujon, loving father of Christie Beaujon and Danielle Beaujon, dear brother of Jan R. Beaujon III, "Jack" (Betsy), Pete Beaujon, James Beaujon, Nancy Beaujon, and Mary Kenter (Tom). He is predeceased by his cherished parents, Jan Rudeloff Beaujon Jr., "Rudy," and Rev. Florence Bishop Jessup Beaujon. George will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in his large family.
George was a graduate of University of Cincinnati (BA, '77) and Cornell University (PhD, '87). He worked for over 30 years as an engineer for General Motors in Operations Research and Logistics. George was an active member of various Presbyterian churches over the years, including being part of Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian for 20 years. Through church, he led many Bible studies, youth groups, mission trips, and volunteer projects. He also volunteered for many years with Habitat for Humanity. George loved to sail and found great joy in racing his Wayfarer in the lakes of Metro Detroit.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 12PM at Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian, 5171 Commerce Road, Orchard Lake Village. Visitation at church begins at 11AM. A memorial luncheon will follow. The church service will be livestreamed. Please click Livestream to view.
A burial service in Portland, Oregon will be held this summer (with details to follow).
