George Bland, Jr., 40, was born at ACMC to George and Robin Bland, on April 16, 1983 and transitioned to eternal sleep on October 22, 2023.
George attended Pleasantville Public School and graduated from Pleasantville High School, class of 2000 (millennium).
George worked at Tri-Care Medical Transportation since 2011. He was a great dispatch supervisor and gave his all to the very end. He was a huge part of the company's growth.
George displayed his love to family and friends by his cook outs, fight parties (like his father), lake days, kids parties, and family gatherings at his house. His warm smile and personability welcomed all.
If it was a will, it was a way and George would come through and pull it off. A family guy, his humor, his generosity, always willing to help out. George loved his fiancé, Nicole Rencher. He was teased for singing out her nickname, Nikki. George and Nikki shared two beautiful children together, Gia and George. The quality time with his children and Nikki made him the proudest and happiest person on earth.
We are going to miss George. He was our rock, our mentor, our best friend. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Robin (Lucius) Brown; fiancé, Nicole Rencher; children, Gia and George Bland, III.; favorite aunt Lisa Alvarez; uncles, Jesse Freeman, Jr., Darrell (Germaris) Melvin (Joy) Bland, Pedro Jay Alvarez; brother, Jay Carlos Alvarez; cousins, Kenisa D., John W, Rafeeq B., Daniels H., and Yolanda; George (brothers keepers) Jerome Smitty S., Ty S., D. Hughes, Carlos P., Walter D., and Dan G.; and his grandfather, Ernest Bland, Sr.
George was predeceased by his father, George Bland, Sr.; grandparents, Jesse and Ruby Freeman and Laurelle Landing and Ernest as well as his uncles, Robert Bland and Ernest Bland.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10-12pm with a 12pm service at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road in Northfield. Interment will be held at Atlantic City Cemetery.
