George "Buff" Buffington Weigand, Jr.

My precious brother in law and I loved him. I wish we had lived closer but his kindness still fills my heart when I think of him.

Buff had a quote, "you can't go 10-0 in life." Today, I read the poem by Kipling and heard Buff. "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster, and treat those two impostors just the same..."-Kipling

If I had any success in basketball it was due to Buff. Moreover , he was a major influence on me as a person . He was quite simply the top of the line . People like Buff are rare and to be cherished . Always placing others ahead of himself . You only get to meet a few people like Buff in your life time . How lucky are we to have had such a person in our lives .

We are deeply sorry to hear about Buff´s passing. We treasured his friendship over the years. Tripp lake will miss him immensely. Now he is rejoined with his lovely wife and best friend, Ward.
