George C. “Sonny” LeCompte, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Doris Dunkle LeCompte. Son of the late George C. LeCompte, Sr. and May Boudier LeCompte. Loving and devoted father of Mark Allen LeCompte (Melissa), Kenneth Stephen LeCompte (Laurie) and Kathleen LeCompte Grisoli (Damon). Loving Grandfather of Shannon LeCompte (James), Justin LeCompte (Lisa), Amanda LeCompte (Arston), Kortnie Layrisson (Mark Sr), Isabella Grisoli and Madeline Grisoli. Great Grandfather of Jonah, Hannah, Jake, Jackson, Angelo, Blake, Leo, Vincenzo, Paxton, Lila, Taelyn, Ariana and Mark, Jr. Sonny is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is the brother of Arthur LeCompte, Bobby LeCompte and the late Ronald LeCompte and Richard LeCompte. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Terrytown, Louisiana; served his country while enlisted in the United States Navy and was the owner of Ace Refrigeration Services. We will miss Dad's funny jokes and wonderful sense of humor. Dad and Mom are back together again, resting in everlasting peace. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Gretna United Methodist Church, 1309 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Gretna United Methodist Church, 1309 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 11AM until 12PM. Funeral Services will take place at Gretna United Methodist Church on Thursday at 12 Noon. Interment will held privately at a later date. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this difficult time.
