I just found this memorial looking for Geroge's cell number to call him as I am visiting NJ from CA. George and I were very close friends and skiied together for years starting with the General Electric ski club. I stayed with him at his place at Hunter for many funs times as we used to drive up there after work and ski the weekends. He was with me when I met my wife on one of those ski trips and he was in my wedding party. I am broken hearted to learn he passed away this past June. He will be missed. God Bless you George. Rest In Peace.

When our young family moved to Piscataway in 1979 George Carr rapidly became an important part of our lives. He immediately became Uncle George to our children, and he looked out for, scolded, shared holidays with, and guided all of us during the many years we were lucky enough to have him and Grandma Hannah as our neighbors. We have kept in touch with him over the years and will truly miss his caring but unique way of being himself.

George will be missed! Growing up across the street from George and his mother "Grandma Hannah" was an experience like no other. I wouldn't change a thing.
RIP ** My friend until we meet again.

George was a damn good neighbor. He had all the tools a guy could want and was quick to loan them to me when asked. I did my best to get him up to speed with cell phones and computers. Some of it might have escaped him, however. I will miss him and so will the folks at the Fountainbleu Diner. They were wondering where George went. I guess by now they know.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
