Dear Cooper family,
I'm saddened to hear of the loss of such a wonderful, hilarious, good-hearted man. I got to know George during cycling classes at the Harper Student Center at MUSC. We would drag our bikes to the gym after work several times a week and set them up on trainers and spin to our hearts content. George always made me laugh with his funny stories and especially when he'd stretch afterwards - always doing it the opposite way from every one else and getting confused - we laughed every time. I will miss him and feel blessed that I was able to spend those fun cycling classes together for a couple years. I hope you all are doing okay. I know all too well the grief of loosing a loved one. I pray you all are at peace.

"Smooth circle", George. I'll miss you. Thank you for all the laughs.

Love,
Elizabeth

Dearest Elizabeth, A friend from church found this obituary while searching for another name. I am so heavy-hearted at the thought of your loss. Your family will remain in our prayers, of course. If you feel like it, please write when you can and let me know how you are doing? It was God's gift that your family was drawn so closely together toward the end of George's life. May God's peace rest upon you and your family like a gentle, warm blanket, protecting your hearts and minds as you grieve, and reminding you how very much he loves and cares for you all.

To Mrs. Cooper and the George Cooper family, It was a honor and a pivilege to work on Dr. Cooper's research projects. Dr. Cooper always treated us technicians with respect. It was nice to know someone as intelligent, yet down to earth and not arrogant, as he was.
And thank you Mrs. Cooper, for sharing that wonderful story of your husband at the wake (about the time you all lived in Iowa. From one Iowan to another, of course). I imagine that Red, the lab cat, met Dr. Cooper at the
gates to welcome him in.
Sincerely,
