So sorry to hear of George's passing. He was the nicest person I knew at Forest City when I worked there. Always a smile on his face. Rest In Peace, George.

John and I were so sorry to hear of George's passing. We always laughed seeing George outside wearing Shorts in the winter with his fur kids, while it was snowing. Great neighbor always waived and said hello as we passed by. Our sincere condolences to Mimi and the family. His fur kids will miss his love. RIP George ~

George was not a close friend of mine but anyone in the apartment industry in Cleveland OH knows of George's great contributions not only to Forest City and it's partners one of whom I work for but also for his commitment and service to the apartment association. Many years ago when George was already a mover and shaker in our business and I was new to the industry, I attended a local leadership conference and was awed by George's knowledge and his willingness to share it. He was also one of the most genuine and friendly people I've ever met. Rest in peace, George. You will be missed.

George was a great guy and a great neighbor. Always smiling and talking about how wonderful his daughters are. He will be missed on Chesapeake

My dear friend since 1979...you could teach by just speaking, encourage with just a smile. You were always there, with your words of wisdom or a story to show you the way. One of my first friends at Forest City. So many good memories, so many conversations, so many laughs. Your speech when you presented me with Manager of the Year way back in the 80's ..."Way back before time there was Theresa"...the laughter echoes in my head so many years later. George thank you for being you, God thank you for giving me his friendship.

My heart is profoundly sad, first of all for George's family as well as his work family at Forest City, but also for all of us in the apartment business. George was truly a class individual who shared his wisdom and heart so freely and who set the bar for others to follow. He truly was the most respected in our business and we are all better for knowing him. When I became President of the Apartment Association, you were allowed one pick to bring on the Executive Committee. George was my pick and though he'd done his time as President before me - he always agreed to share his expertise and knowledge - making us a better association in every way. Rest in complete peace my friend and until we meet again.
